THE BIGGER PICTURE
Palmer arrived at Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day last summer, after Manchester City opened the door for their academy prospect to leave the club.
He has since netted 22 goals and added ten assists across the current campaign, as he dragged Chelsea to sixth place within the top flight of English football.
Mauricio Pochettino's side are currently three points clear of Newcastle United in seventh place, as the Blues look to secure European football for next season.

WHAT NEXT FOR PALMER?
Chelsea have a worse goal difference (13) than Newcastle (21), meaning sixth place is not guaranteed ahead of the final game of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Newcastle will face Brentford in their final game of the campaign, with all fixtures set to kick-off at 4pm UK time.
