Manchester United have had the perfect 2019 summer pre-season.

In a total of four matches, the Red Devils have managed to tally four victories, thus making Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s trip a great success.

The latest bout saw them clinch a win against a well-known rival from the Premier League – Tottenham Hotspur. And while at times that game did not really look like a friendly exhibition match, the final result was in their favour.

Jesse Lingard was not on the scoresheet but he got a decent 45 minutes of action under his belt.

And in the aftermath of proceedings he took to

And probably the biggest compliment came from a rival camp and from none other than Arsenal icon Ian Wright.

The ex-Gunner sent a message to Lingard telling him that the hard work he is putting in will eventually pay off for the forward.

And looking ahead, the 26-year-old will surely be eager to improve on last season’s tally, in which he netted a total of five goals and four assists in 36 games.
